Celebrate National Family Caregivers Month
Each year the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council develops and approves a Legislative Platform that includes priorities identified by stakeholders, family members, and self-advocates.
There are several ways for self-advocates, parents and caregivers to get involved and support those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Council supports and funds several programs, advocacy messages and publications that target specific issues related to individuals with disabilities.

Since our inception we have leveraged over one hundred million dollars to make global changes in systems and services that impact children and adults who live with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and others as defined within Florida statute 393.
