Committees
- Executive - Serves in an overall advisory capacity to the Council in formulating policy.
- Program Planning and Evaluation - Conducts assessments, hearings and evaluations to determine the needs of person with developmental disabilities
- Public Policy and Advocacy - Reviews, evaluates and the advises the Council and perform activities related to federal and state legislation and public policy impacting persons with developmental disabilities
- Finance - Reviews the financial status and monitors expenditures of the Council.
- Leadership Development - Designs and implements leadership development activities for Council members and staff.
- Human Resources - Advices the Executive Director and the Council on personnel -related issues.
- Communications - Advises the Council on the planning, development, and implementation of communications, marketing and public relations practices of the Council.
COUNCIL TASK FORCES
There are four standing task forces: Healthcare/Prevention, Child Development/Education, Employment, and Community Living/Support Coordination. The task forces accomplish special assignments required to implement the Council's mission and state plan.
